Replacing the Spark Plugs and Wires on Our Jeep Wrangler

October 4, 2019 by Scott Filed Under: Jeep Maintenance

We wanted to remove a spark plug to check the burn of the cylinders the boot ripped while taking it off. At that point we went ahead and replaced them all.

What Happened?

While moving around our Jeep checking for mechanical issues we discovered a problem with the spark plug wires. We wanted to pull a plug and check the burn on a cylinder. Ray tried to pull the boot off and it ripped. When the boot ripped the wire came out of the boot as well. This forced us into changing the plugs and wires. Changing the Type of Lift on our Jeep Wrangler

September 29, 2019 by Scott Filed Under: Jeep Accessories, Jeep Maintenance, Repairs

The Decision to Change Our Jeep Lift

As we adventure forth on our adventures in the Jeep we decided it was time to change the type of lift that is currently on our Jeep. When we purchased the Jeep it had a spacer lift on it. This is also sometimes referred to as a budget boost lift. It lifts the Jeep but doesn’t provide any extra suspension or flex capabilities. The spacer lift uses the stock coil springs that come with the vehicle. We were also concerned about how well those rubber spacers would hold up. Would they slowly collapse or dry out leaving us lower in some areas of the Jeep than others? Would they fall out under a heavy suspension flex situation? These were questions and concerns we had so the conclusion was to just replace them with a proper coil spring suspension lift. Jeep Wrangler Transfer Case Fluid Change

Transfer Case Fluid Change

As we stated in a video a couple of weeks back there were going to be maintenance and repairs necessary to our Jeep. Last week I posted about having to repair leaks coming from the oil pan and critical collar. Once we repaired that issue we began maintenance on the Jeep starting with the transfer case.
