I can finally mark visiting the Houston Space Center off my list of places to see. Houston is about a five-hour drive for us so we started out around 6:00 am. Our first stop was at Buc-ee’s for gas. While we were there we had to look around and Scott found a little stuffed Buc-ee for our granddaughter, Samantha. We decided it would be fun to take Buc-ee with us into the Space Center and let him pop up from time to time to say high to her. Tomorrow I’ll get Buc-ee in the mail to her and she can sit and watch the video with it. All of the spots you see Buc-ee pop up are places that the general public can touch. We didn’t put him anywhere off-limits or where there were signs not to touch. This post has moved to https://ourjeepadventures.com/visiting-the-houston-space-center/
We have family in Houston so I have had the chance to visit the Space Center few times and I love going every time. We took my son when he was little but now that he understands more, he would love it. So can’t wait to go back and take him.
Sounds like a great trip. I’m not realy into space stuff, but my husband and son’s would love this. Lots of history to know. We will be in Houston next year for a family reunion. I’m pinning to remember this place.
I’ve been to Houston a few times but not to this fabulous place. I am adding this to my must visit places in the US list.
I know I would love visiting there. I was so excited when the Explorer got set up here in California. IT was so amazing to see it up close.
I would love to visit Houston Space Center! I’ve heard so many nice reviews about it and yours is not an exception. Also, I would love to visit Houston, such a nice place!
We are going in a couple of weeks, so this is perfect! I live on the North side of Houston, and it was a Christmas gift to my boys that we would go this year at some point. I didn’t know about the lunch with an astronaut, I’ll have to look into that for when we go.
This is such an interesting place! I’ve never been to houston before and if I got the chance to visit, I want to visit this space center too
That looks so much fun. I’d especially love to see the rocket park. How cool to see those huge rockets up close.
We went to the one in Florida. It was pretty awesome. We will be visiting the one in Texas too.
